WATERING:
Soil should be kept MOIST in new beds.
It is better to water thoroughly and less frequently, than watering lightly more often.
"DRY ON TOP" does not mean "DRY ON BOTTOM."
Often the root section is adequately moist.
During the first 2-3 weeks after planting, water every 2-3 days unless it rains. During extremely hot periods, it may be necessary to water every day. Try to water the base of the plant, or the root section.
